Charles Petrescu Interview
For fans of our listings page - you'll no doubt be aware that soon Knock2bag presents: Challenged, a new game show devised by Brian Gittins.
We asked Brian for an interview but he said he was "busy" on his tour - so here's a series of questions we asked his robot instead - Charles Petrescu. Enjoy.
See Charles live with Brian on October 26th at Challenged - a new improvised game show with comedy guests. Tickets here
Hiya Charles - how's u?
Tip tip top.
How are you coping with fame after you've catapulted into the spotlight post release of must see documentary about your life "Brian and Charles?" (Watch here)
To be honest I have been hiding in the shadows. Fame is toxic.
Brian has said you were born out of a particularly harsh storm, and he created you in what he describes as a "dark period" - would you say you feel that desolation somewhere deep within?
I know what these words mean but I do not have emotions so cannot respond. I’m learning all the time.
Now we've got the small talk out the way - do you sleep or just sit in a chair at night time?
I have a special sleeping pod. Brian plugs me in and night and I then catch some serious zzzzz’s
Your intimate relationship with Brian was put under the microscope in the film - have you been the same since?
I have and will never change. It’s impossible.
Do you sometimes go out alone? If so - where is that you go?
I love going for bike rides. Especially on your motorways.
Would you say you have any strong opinions on Human Kind?
They are mainly tossers.
God made man in his own imagine - does it upset you that Brian didn't?
He’s been talking about adding a beard – so fingers crossed for that.
What's your fondest memory of Brian?
Running through a field of dandelions with his exhaust pipe hanging out.
What are the main differences between the farm - where you live - and London, the city you'll be coming to on the 26th October?
A lot more machines.
Can you tell us about CHALLENGED - the game show and where the inspiration came from?
I am just a simple score master. Keeping the scores for my master. I have heard him describe the show as a game show where there are no right answers, so let’s go with that.
What can we expect on the 26th?
What key role do you play in the proceedings?
I’ve already answered this. What’s the matter with you?
Are you a big fan of game shows? If so who would you say your heroes are?
Yes. Challenged. Brian is my only hero (I do have a bit of a soft spot for Gaby Roslin, but let's not go into that.) So buy tickets now by clicking on this hyperlink URL
